Traffic Safety Poster, 1956, tempera paint

This poster was my entry for a traffic safey contest by the elementary school I attended in 1957, when I was 11 years old. I had forgotten all about this poster until the mid-1990s when my parents sent me a bunch of photos of me in childhood. That my dad took a photo of it shows that he was proud of me for this effort.

They didn't keep the poster, however. Can't blame them because they had a very small house. I'm including it in this website because it makes me laugh. I don't recall whether I won anything for this design. I usually got accolades for my art even from first grade, so I might have gotten some kind of award for it.
