Nude in Black & White,
1966, acrylics
This painting of a
nude was an assignment in an art class I took in college in 1966. The challenge was to render a nude only in
flat areas of black and white. So this was my attempt. Sadly, I no longer have this painting, so the image was
from an old photo of it hanging on a wall. Pixelation is always a major problem when scanning any photo, especially
if it's very small. I've enlarged the resulting image after scanning and cropping it out. I've then edited the image
in PaintShop Pro to rid as much pixelation as possible and to once again have
flat areas of black and white. Then I saved the image as a GIF to help stop more pixelation.
It's not a pefect edit, but this is as much time as I care to spend on it.
