Lima Beans, 1973, acrylics

This was part of a trilogy. A second piece, Green Onions, is in this collection, and I still have both. However, the third piece, "Mushrooms," a much larger piece than the other two, was sold to a friend who wanted it enough to even pay me $50 for it! It was by far the best of the three. He told me that someone offered him $350 for it in 1974. I don't know whether he sold it, but he told me he didn't. Sadly, I don't even have a photo of it.

Sadly, this piece became seriously water damaged while it was being stored, removing most of the background paint. This is a photo of the original, altho the colors aren't quite accurage in this photo. Perhaps some day I'll attempt to repair the damage to the original.
