Ellipses on Point, 1971, acrylics
The color and focus of this image was seriously compromised to that of the original painting. I no longer have this piece, and the image was scanned from an old photo in which the
painting was hanging on a wall. After scanning the photo then cropping it to
show only the painting, I've tried editing the tiny image by using PaintShop Pro, which improved the bad photo of it. But it's
not like the original. But the tediousness and the time it takes to edit all of those curvy lines took far too long to get just
this far, so this is as good as it'll get. The circular lines within the elipse were all very thin
in the original painting.
I've never liked this painting, which was done for an art class in college. When I moved into my condo in 1991, I had no place to store
most of my paintings, so I took many to Goodwill. For some paintings, I now regret that I didn't keep them. This painting wasn't one of those.
